OXENFREE II: Lost Signals will address some unanswered questions from the first game
OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is almost exactly a month away from launch, which means we’ll soon be immersed in a world of mystery and intrigue once again. This time around, we’ll even get some answers we didn’t get from the first installment.
In an interview with Nintendo Everything, studio director Sean Krankel spoke about the sequel and its approach to answering some mysteries from the first game. You won’t get all of your unanswered questions addressed, but you’ll certainly come away with some insight.
Some of them, for sure! Even though we have a new protagonist, a new set of challenges and a new storyline with new antagonists, the connective tissue is that this game does take place after the events of the first one. The portals that got somewhat resolved in that first one are being ripped open by some new antagonists, a cult named Parentage. They will inherently be reopening some of the problems, and we’ll resolve a fair number of unanswered questions from the first one.
