Ready to hit the tracks again? Train Sim World 4 chugs into play!

Train Sim World 4 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC is here

It’s been just about a year since Dovetail Games pushed Train Sim World 3 to the world, making the most of the power of Game Pass as they went. Now it’s the turn of Train Sim World 4 to come to the fore, as once again we get the chance to go chugging down the track…

Available right now for Xbox, PlayStation and PC players to get involved with is Train Sim World 4 – the latest in the ever-lengthening line of train simulators to hit the PC and console worlds.

An early platform arrival

Set with an official street release date of September 26th, today players can jump into the cab early, all thanks to the Train Sim World 4 Deluxe Edition and Train Sim World 4 Special Edition versions.

These are the two top-end options in the Train Sim World 4 line-up, running some £52.99 and £89.99 price tags as they go. If you’re a railway fanatic, we’d guess you’ve already chucked your money into those via pre-order schemes.

If you aren’t fussed about early access but would like to check out Train Sim World 4 anyways, perhaps the Standard Edition for £39.99 will be more suitable. Just let it be known that you won’t be able to get access to that version until the 26th.

But why Train Sim World 4 when Train Sim World 3 has still got plenty of steam? Well, Dovetail are promising more with TSW4, with new Austrian, UK and USA routes present. The Flying Scotsman is front and centre too, whilst improvements come to gameplay modes such as Free Roam and Photo Mode.

All the features of Train Sim World 4 on Xbox you need

Further are quality of life enhancements; a better UI, weather visuals and the like.

Hit up the Xbox Store on the links up above to grab a copy of Train Sim World 4 as you see fit. It’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised. Unfortunately, unlike the launch of TSW3, it seems that Train Sim World 4 is not on Game Pass. At least not yet.

You’ll also find it on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.

Our review is coming down the line soon.
