Dragon’s Dogma 2 release date potentially leaked ahead of showcase

A Dragon’s Dogma 2 showcase has been set for November 28, promising brand-new gameplay during its 15-minute runtime. Additionally, it looks like the game has received a PEGI rating, and although the page has since been removed, some keen eyes reportedly managed to catch a glimpse of what could be the Dragon’s Dogma 2 release date.

If you’re looking to learn more about the highly anticipated Dragon’s Dogma 2, then you’ll likely want to tune in to the showcase later this month. Capcom says that the Dragons Dogma 2 showcase on November 28 at 1pm PT / 9pm GMT will offer “brand new gameplay reveals in an info-packed 15-minute livestream, directly from director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.” Perhaps we’ll get official word on the release date at the same time?

As was spotted by Idle Sloth on X, it seems PEGI gave Dragon’s Dogma 2 an 18+ rating recently, and said that it will include “in-game purchases.” This rating reportedly included a March 22 2024 release date alongside it, but the page looks to have been removed since.

Earlier this month, Capcom’s financials revealed that it has a “major unannounced title” to launch before March 2024, although it didn’t hint at what it could be. With the PEGI rating apparently suggesting a March launch for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on Xbox Series X|S and other platforms, there is a chance that it is the mystery game. With that said, however, March marks the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, which most certainly has the reach to be classed as a “major franchise.”

We’ll just have to wait and see what Capcom is teasing. With The Game Awards set for December, it would be a great opportunity for a Monster Hunter reveal if a new game is coming early next year. In the meantime, you can play ten The Game Awards 2023 nominees now with Game Pass.
