Ritual of the Night return today

Metroidvania action-RPG Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night returns to Xbox Game Pass today, offering up two stacks of Xbox achievements on console and PC.

Players with an Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass subscription can play Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC today, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to stream it via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night puts you in the shoes of Miriam for a Metroidvania, side-scrolling, action-RPG adventure as she attempts to save herself from an untimely demise. Orphaned and plagued by a cursed by an alchemist’s curse that is slowly crystallizing her body, Miriam must fight her way through a demon-infested castle to save humanity from her old friend, Gebel.

It launched on Xbox One in 2019 and was previously available in Xbox Game Pass but was cycled out in March 2021. It returns to the service today with both the console Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night achievements and PC Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (Windows) achievements. Both stacks include 45 achievements worth 1,000G, but be aware that the PC stack’s Overlord achievement for unlocking every other achievement is unobtainable. It seems that the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One stack is unaffected, though, so a completion looks to be possible on console.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night joins Resident Evil 3, which joined the service yesterday, as February’s Xbox Game Pass additions. More games are yet to come, so check out our list of the games coming to Game Pass for a peek into the future.
