Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 33 – Spring
The Apex All-Stars Series come to an end this week in Forza Horizon 5, and as sure as night follows day, I’m here to provide you with the info you need to get your hands on shiny new cars.
So, on with the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 33 Spring and let’s get some racing done! These intros are getting shorter…
Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Time to Play
This week’s challenge car is a Corvette, the E-Ray, the cover star of the latest Forza Motorsport.
I’m still not sure about this car as a hybrid Corvette is all kinds of wrong, but each to their own!
Should you not have one in your garage, then they are available in the Autoshow, at 181,000 credits. Or, complete the Going the Distance Seasonal Championship to get one for free. Doing that is probably your best bet.
Chapter 1 – Star Performer
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.
Chapter 2 – Sick Combo
Get an Ultimate Burnout skill for this step, which given the amount of power should be pretty easy. Hit the gas and spin…
Chapter 3 – Free of Charge
Because this car uses regenerative braking, we need to take a photo at a player house. Nope, me neither.
Chapter 4 – Top Speed Tester
As this car has AWD and good acceleration, we need to win a drag race in. Should be okay in stock trim.
Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 33.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.
The Trial, the Eventlab making two triumphant comebacks, PR Stunts and only two Seasonal Championships. The same as last week, really…
The Trial – MX-5 Drive
First off, an announcement. You know how I always like to say that the Trial is a co-op experience, and we need to work together? Well, every now and then someone online displays such blatant disregard for such a thing. That’s the case this time around as some clown punted me out of the first two races as we went through, then quit halfway through the second race, dumping us right in it. Don’t be like that guy!
*Deep breath*
We need an A Class 800 Mazda MX-5 to take part, and I went with the Miata from 1994, share code : 666061914.
The prize for managing to find people who actually want to race The Trial like it should be done is a Nissan Skyline from 1995.
Eventlab 1 – SP33DK1NG555Presents Eagle Forest Raceway
This time we need a Modern Supercar, tuned to only A Class 800. I went with a stock Lambo Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante. If you’ve got it, flaunt it, right?
I don’t know why we have to use big fast cars on short, twisty tracks, as it always feels a bit overgunned. Other than car choice, this was a good layout.
Take away a Super Wheelspin for completing this, why don’t you?
Eventlab 2 – DEXTER41300I Presents Emerald GP
For this event, we need a Hot Hatch or Retro Hot Hatch, tuned to a mere B Class 700. I chose a Renault Clio R.S. 200 EDC from 2013 and the share code is : 262870774.
This was the track for the supercars! A fast flowing track that seemed too long in a slow hot hatch, the layout was great.
For winning out, we can take away a Rimac Nevera.
PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Northern Passage
This week, all the PR stunts need the same class of car, an Extreme Track Toy tuned to S2 Class 998.
We need to clear the trap at over 225 MPH, and this car should do it easily – The Bugatti Divo, share code : 169915677.
Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.
PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Escarpment
Same car class, same challenge, same car!
The target this time is to exceed 187 mph. This is quite close to the top speed, so keep the hammer down.
Yet another Super Wheelspin???
PR Stunt 3 – Speed Zone – Camino del Cielo
Some average speed driving to do here, and this time the target is 142 mph. I went again with the same Divo as above.
Another Super Wheelspin. I wonder what the world record for having Super Wheelspins stocked up is…
Seasonal Championship 1 – Picking Favorites
We now face a choice – which of the Forza Horizon cover cars is your fave? The Dodge Viper? The crusty old Land Rover? Oh, and the tuning limit is S1 Class 900, to add a little spice.
Well, I chose a Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, and the share code is : 101467248.
For winning out, we can take home a Honda NSX.
Seasonal Championship 2 – Going the Distance
We need to use a GT or Super GT car for this set of races, tuned to only A Class 800. I went with an Aston Martin DB11 and the share code is : 723867622.
The prize for winning is a Corvette E-Ray, which we need for the weekly car challenge. Handy!
Part 3: Other Challenges
There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 33 Spring. You’ve got a photo to take, a Treasure Hunt to partake in, some Horizon Tour fun and, well, that’s about it – finishing strong!
Photo Challenge – #SIERRAATRIVIERA
We have to photograph a Sierra Cosworth at the Riviera Sprint start line. Should be fairly straightforward?
Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece. The location you need to be in is below.
The reward? A new Green XS Race Suit. Colourful!
Treasure Hunt – Blame Impala
The Clue this time reads “A cryptic clue but don’t you stress, just follow it to the letter, the challenge now to make a mess, the more you wreck the better!”.
The picture is of a Chevy Impala from 1996, and I guess we need to get some wreckage skills? I smashed some stuff, and sure enough, job done!
The chest contains 250,000 credits, and the location is shown below.
Horizon Tour – Co-op Championships
We need to engage in a little light racing to tick this one off the list, and the format is as usual – three races against driverbots, and two races point to point against our fellow drivers.
There’s literally any class possible, so I can’t give you a tune, but the prize is worth it – 8 whole points to the weekly totals!
Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Supersonic Spiral
We need to use only a Lambo, tuned to S1 Class 900.
I used the same Huracan LP610-4 as above, and the share code is still 101467248.
We need to average over 138 mph through the zone,
The prize is another Super Wheelspin. You know, those things we really don’t need…
Seasonal Championship – Lambo Laps
We need to use the Lambo S1 900 Class car again, so I stayed in the Huracan. Why waste the pennies? I don’t have many…
Completing the championship will get us an Alfa Romeo Guilia.
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – La Cantera
Get in a Mustang, tune it A Class 800, and try to blast the speed trap at over 105 mph.
I went with a Mustang Boss 302, share code : 144740677, set up for dirt.
A Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Seasonal Championship – Mustang Rally
Ride, Rally, Ride?
Anyway, after the amusement from the pun has died down, what we have here is a series of races that need a Ford Mustang, tuned to A Class 800. I went with the Shelby GT500 from 2013 and the share code is 402868577.
The reward for racing? A Grit Reapers hoodie.Yay, ideal for the hot season!
The rewards for Series 33 and Spring in Forza Horizon 5
With Series 33 at a close you should be able to get hands on the cars for the month. And they are the Pro Stock Camaro for 80 points and a Hot Wheels Trans Am for 160. Last chance this week to get your hot little hands on these, so get cracking!
Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 33 as well. There are four to try your hand at this month – Sierra Verde Sprint, Bahia De Plano Circuit, Bola Ocho Circuit and finally Los Jardines Circuit. Post a clean lap on each to score 4 whole points towards the prize cars.
Grab enough points and Series 33 Spring also sees you given access to the exclusive #92 Porsche RSR for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Mercedes Benz SL65, a hard to find car apparently.
Next week is another new season and Series 34 runs the title Horizon Retrowave. What this is going to be is anyone’s guess, but expect some neon to be splashed about.
To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.
Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
