Alien Fish Finger – Check out this brilliant Amiga action platformer from 1995 which had a number of enhancements!
To be honest I’ve heard about most games that were released on the Amiga, especially ones that were either platformers or my personal favorite dungeon crawlers. However this game which caught our attention and worthy of a write up, was not only released in 1995 and a further enhanced update in 2011 but it’s a game I’ve never seen before! It’s ‘Alien Fish Finger’ by Skull Army. A game in which one person said “was not only amazing for a shareware program, but the backgrounds are artistically designed, the gore and vocal screams of the little tiny sprites are quite humorous and thus highly recommended”.
While Saberman has contacted us with a new video about a 1.31 version provided via the awesome Amiga Addict mag located here and David Cruickshank’s fundraising cancer charity page from 2011. This is what the developer said about the game and the 2011 update. “‘ALIEN FISH FINGER’ was a non-commercial shareware computer game I wrote on the AMIGA home computer late 1995. It is a little platform game set on an Alien world with you in control of one hero type dude called Frank Finger on a mission to save Earth from the deadly clutch of the evil Aliens. In 2011 I decided to re-release this game as Charityware. Instead of your money going to me, the money now goes to charity. I also added 3 months of new enhancements to the game too, giving it a high level of polish”.
So yes, while this isn’t a new game release…*OMG IT’S SO OLD*. I feel as a pretty rare game however, it’s still worthy of a mention on Indie Retro News, even with the 2011 update.
