Yesterday, we shared a post with the news that psychological horror game Dreamcore was announced for a Nintendo Switch release. This news came out of the Latin American Games Showcase, during which a new trailer for Dreamcore was shared. Unfortunately, we’ve since learned that the mention of a Switch release was an error, and Nintendo’s console won’t be receiving the game after all.
A representative from the game’s PR team reached out to us via email to let us know about the mistake. According to them, “the game isn’t in development for Switch at this time”. Of course, it’s always possible that the game could get a Switch port somewhere down the line, but it doesn’t sound like that’s in the cards right now.
If you’re looking for your fix of atmospheric liminal space horror, you’ll just have to look elsewhere. If you’re still curious about Dreamcore, you can learn more on its official Steam page (where it will actually be available sometime in the future).
