Slider and goodboy’26 has announced a re-release of the 2015 improved version of the classic action game Metal Man Reloaded as ‘ Metal Man Remixed ‘. A game which was released completely free for the ZX Spectrum and a part of the ‘Metal Man Remixed’ tape release. This improved game was originally developed by Oleg Origin and Stella Aragonskaya in the mid 2000’s, and was also released as part of the ZX Spectrum a Visual Compendium Kickstarter campaign. The game comes with improved graphics, new animations, new loading screen, alternative music, a tweaked difficulty level and much more!

According to the website in regards to the story. New York, near future. Crime groups united in powerful networks. Battle robots and other new technologies came to the aid of a mafia. Fight against a crime is extremely difficult as the mafia is under the care of the authorities. Some police stations which haven’t accepted new system, continue to work underground, throwing down a challenge to crime and authorities. In one of them there is a desperate cop Matthew Cranston, better known as METAL MAN.
- While we are not sure why this game has been re-released and if it’s any different than the mid 2000’s version, it seems that it has appeared again as Oleg Origin’s website which contained the remixed version no longer works. If anyone has any further information, please feel free to reply in comments so I can amend the article 🙂
