That’s why a lot of the most beloved games are relatively cheap now, because Nintendo made so many of them.
The most expensive game today only has two surviving copies,
because Nintendo actually destroyed the rest of them.
It was used in a Nintendo tournament that toured through the united states in 1994.
Competitors played on a special cartridge that had three games programmed into it.
They had to complete a series of challenges in each game within six minutes.
The price for these were originally set at 300 thousand dollars but nobody bought them.
A couple years later a private collector purchased one for 12 thousand dollars
