Isa Brave: Underworld keys Extended Edition – Great graphics but very challenging gameplay in this new MSX game from Tom Martin [UPDATE]

MSXdev Ends with a Bang: Tom Martin Unveils ‘Isa Brave: Underworld Keys’. The marathon MSXdev competition has officially reached its closing stages, and it’s going out on a high note. The 50th and final(?) entry of this year’s incredible run is Isa Brave, a punishingly polished Arcade game developed by Tom Martin for the MSX. A game in which the MSX competition says “Do not let the cheerful tune and cute graphics trick you, this is a really hard game, as we had a few this year that homage the 80s on the skill required from the player to complete them. Glory and treasure awaits in the underworld for those that have the will to take them.”

Here’s the latest. “Enter the legend of Isa Brave. That is not even her real name. Nobody knows who she is, her name or where she is from, but it is well known that her will and determination are legendary. As the tale says: She Is a Brave!, and that’s how she became Isa Brave. This time Isa is entering the Underworld, an extremely dangerous place where peril stalks from every corner. At least she has her gun, but ammunition is extremely limited, it might be more valuable than Gold itself, use your weapon wisely! Be determined, be strong, be perseverance, be like Isa, be a Brave!”

[UPDATE] Putting aside the Amiga and C64 news for a bit, I’ve just found out that the MSX game called Isa Brave: Underworld keys has been re-released as an extended edition with five large stages, new puzzles, improved graphics, and refined gameplay making this the definitive 64K edition of Isa Brave.
