Return is a very stylish pixel art souls-lite action adventure set on a planet that’s been transformed by an AI called ”Mother”.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer a year ago, in Return you have returned to your home planet after a very long cryo-sleep in which your ship was damaged and auto-navigated there. In your extended absence your planet has been transformed into a mutated mechanical landscape that’s watched over by a SkyNet-esque AI called Mother.
As you explore your planet you’ll discover long forgotten mysteries, fight hordes of mechanical monstrosities and battle ancient bosses. At your disposal you’ll have melee weapons and a variety of guns which you’ll be able to upgrade throughout the game.
It’s a visually stunning game with high quality pixel art animation and a very unique aesthetic. The machine-ruled civilization setting is also fascinating, with you very much feeling like a stranger in your home world. Sign up for the Beta to book an early return!
