Welcome to part 8 of Into Indie Games’ walkthrough for Laika: Aged Through Blood.

Back in town, let us take stock of the quests we have in our Journal now.

Talk to Carey for the new Quest: Worse Than Hives. Upgrade/Craft your bags or guns if you can. I crafted the Machine Gun. Get to the Teleport checkpoint and go to Dead Bomb.

We are at Area: Where Doom Fell. Go left and up from the checkpoint. Grab the chest and head right on the upper mountain path. Go up the steep climb to exit the area and enter Area: Where Iron Caresses The Sky. Keep heading right till you reach this location in the picture below, and turn and head up.

Laika

Head right from the top after killing the birds in the next big jump. Go across the Gas Station and exit the area. After entering Area: Where All Was Lost, head right. Keep going right across the bridge, keep killing the birds on your way. Go up the steep jump and keep bearing right till you hit the almost impossible jump up a hill. You need a triple shotgun jump here. Get up there and keep going till you hit the statue.

Laika

Pull it down and a call from Hectist will come in. Shoot the vending machine and get the Item: Toy Animal. If you hadn’t picked it up, last time we were here, pick up the Cassette: The Hero. Turn around and head left now. Down to the cave system. Off the bend, shoot the birds and head right. Take the ore here and head towards Gusto. Give him the brush to complete Quest: Clean your Beak.

Turn left and ride downwards now. Brake at the cliff and turn right and head down. Kill the birds here and take the ore. Keep Heading left after that. Move downwards till you reach the checkpoint. Turn left here at the red gear and cooking bonfire.

Laika

Head down and shoot the bird. Head left and jump Across the gap and head towards the mines. Keep going till you see Renato, go to him and get your map updated. Shoot the vending machine for some loot.  Turn around and get up on the pipes above.

Traverse across the broken bridge parts and kill all the birds here and pick up the chests. Keep heading left, across the Seaport sign and exit the area. We are back at Area: Where Doom Fell. Head left, killing all the birds on your way.  Reach the teleport checkpoint and keep heading left on the lower path. Exit the area to enter Area: Where Our Bikes Growl. Keep heading left, jump up the Gas Station and take the birds out. Keep riding left past where Kai was. Keep going past the billboard, and up the hill. Stop at the tree stump in the location as pictured below.

A cutscene will trigger. Play it out. The Quest: Target Practice will be updated. Head left towards Area: Where We Live. It is night time now. Talk to Maya in her hut, Where Mother Groans. It will complete Quest: Target Practice. Go to your hut and talk to Puppy. Sleep and wake up next morning. Upgrade your guns, I upgraded the ammo capacity on my machine gun. Get on your bike and exit right. Across Where our Bikes Growl and towards the Gas Station. Head into Area: Where Doom Fell. From the Teleport checkpoint head downwards, inside the cave system. Keeping heading left following the Mine signs, till you hit the Gas Station.

If you have the money, you can buy Cassette: Recurring Dream here. Get outside and start riding left. Jump across the gap and keep heading left. Keep heading left towards the Seaport sign and exit the area. Entering Area: Where the waves die, keep bearing left and jump on the upper path at the next intersection. Keep heading left and killing all the birds on your way. In next intersection take the upper path.

Exiting the area brings us into Area: Where Our Bikes Growl, keep heading left and out. Turn around and head right again. Exit the area into Area: Where Doom Fell. Keep going right and up changing directions as needed to enter Area: Where Iron Caresses the Sky. Keep going right and head up the mountain, changing directions and killing birds as needed. Move towards the left across the broken platforms and bridges till you get to the location in the picture below.

Pick up the Item: Bluelemon Berries. The Quest: Last Meal will be updated. Turn right and head up the mountain now. Keep going up and changing directions and killing birds as needed. In the location in the picture below, keep killing birds and opening chests.

At the very top head left to exit the area. We are at Area: Where our Ancestors rest. Head left and drop down. Keep going left and jump on to the ramp on the left next. At the very top shotgun jump on the right side cliff, check picture below.

 Pick up Item: Camilla’s Special Herbs. The Quest: A Break for Camilla will be updated. Head down and right, the way we came to exit the area. Back at Where the Iron Caresses the Sky, head right, across the gap and keep heading right. Across the bridge to the teleport checkpoint and across another bridge. Bearing right exit the area to enter Area: Where Birds Came From. Head right from here, turn around, and head down at the location as in the picture below.

Keep going right from here. There are multiple birds here, take them out. Across the bridge and up the mountain we go. There will be two more bridged with a bird on top. Go across them, till you reach Renato at the location in the picture.

Take the lower bridge and head right.

Keep going right, taking out birds along the way. Keep going till you reach the location in the map below. Nothing here though. Pick up the ore.

Turn back and head the way we came. Back at the intersection take the upper bridge now and head right, take out all the birds on your way. Jump up to the upper path at the location in the picture below.

Laika

Keep heading right across the crossing bridges, head up. Take out the birds here. Hit the loop here to change bridges and head left on the other bridge. Take the chests and kill the birds, as usual. Keep going left across the bridge and the ominous giant bird sign. Keep going till you see Renato. Collect the Cassette: The Final Hours from the curve below, right after the checkpoint.

Drop down and shotgun jump off the bridge here into the path on the right.

Inside there is a chest. Pick up the Item: Petey’s Letter. The Quest: The Prophecy is updated. Turn left and jump across the two small platforms. Keep moving left until you hit the ramp on the farthest wall and get on the upper path. Keep heading right across the bridge. A lot of birds here. Keep heading right till you get a call from Primo and exit the area.
