Here we are in the second week of the American Automotive Series in Forza Horizon 5, and I’m not going to lie, I’m running out of rubbish American jokes!

Instead I guess we will have to make do with some hot off the press tuning tips and share codes, helping you make a dent in the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenge Series 27 Autumn events, won’t we?

So with this rather somber start to the article out of the way, lets saddle up (ok, not completely run out just yet) and get cracking.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Bucking Broncos

The weekly challenge car this week again gives us a choice of car to take for a spin, as long as it is a Bronco!

We can either take the shiny, new, cover star car version from 2021, or the “classic” version from 1975. I know which one I’m going to choose!

Should you not have one in your garage, the Autoshow can hook you up, for 55,000 and 38,000 credits respectively.

Chapter 1 – Tough Love

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Smash and Grab

Earn three stars at trailblazers to complete this step. Malpais, off the main highway, is about the shortest I think.

Chapter 3 – Green Lane

Can we win a cross country race in our Bronco of choice? Well, I tuned my 2021 model up a bit, and the share code is : 332965160. It should well help you out.

Chapter 4 – Ride Height

Simply earn a Kangaroo skill in your Bronco, by doing lots of jumps in quick succession. The Dunas Blancas area is great for this.

Still do that and this week’s challenge will be done, pushing us five points closer to the reward cars that are in place during Series 27.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

Well, with that bit of fun over with, we are into the main body of the week now, with many races and stunts to try and win at. Are y’all ready? Hopefully that Bronco didn’t buck too much! (Sorry)

The Trial – Pick Up the Pieces

For this series of races, we need to use either a Pickup or 4X4, tuned to only C Class 600. I decided to embrace my inner American and went with a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor from 2011, and the share code is : 139383916.

Should we manage to win two out of three races, a lovely Corvette from 2009 is ours.

Eventlab 1 – CRYONICAXIS66 Presents – Midtown Urban City

Super Saloons from the USA is the car restriction this time, and the tuning limit is A Class 800. Not a massive choice, in fact only one car fits the criteria out of the box! I went with a stock Lexus RCF from 2015.

This is a long and challenging course, but very enjoyable. Thumbs up for this one!

The prize for completing this race is a Jeep Cherokee from 2014

Eventlab 2 – DRINSANITY8543 Presents Motorinsanity Stormy Bay

For this Eventlab, we need to use an Unlimited Off Road car from the USA, and that means only one thing – The Jeep Trailcat. The share code for mine is : 118411445. Feel free to use it.

By contrast to the previous one, this course is a confusing mess that goes through every trick in the book to make you lose your way. I didn’t like this one.

But there’s a prize on offer for completion – a Super Wheelspin, for a change!

PR Stunt 1 –  Danger Sign – Boardwalk

This week the tuning limit for these events is A Class 800, and all the cars have to be the Jeep Trailcat. Lucky that, given the tune I gave you a moment ago!

A little light jumping to limber up, and the distance we need to clear is a mere 100m. Piece of cake.

We get a Super Wheelspin in return though.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed  Trap – Mudflows

The target this time is to hit the trap at over 130 mph, and given that thing shifts, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Stop, Hummer Time

Good lord, the puns get worse, who would have thought it?

Can you guess what car we need to use this week? It’s a tricky one, isn’t it?

We need a Hummer, and we need it to be A Class 800. Just search for “HummerA” in conjunction with my GT, Red620Ti. This is the H1 model.

For winning outright solo, or best two out of three in a convoy, we can take home a Dodge Durango. Stupid name, if you ask me!

Seasonal Championship 2 – Torque the Talk

The class this week is S1 Class 900, and the car must be a Shelby. I just so happen to love my Shelby Mustang GT500 from 2020, and the share code is : 335181307.

Should we win out, a Ford Mustang from 2013 Is our prize.

Seasonal Championship 3 – Gone Truckin’

A bonus championship this week, which is always welcome.

We need to use a Pickup & 4×4 vehicle this time, tuned to B Class 700, and so I went with a Ford Bronco from 2012, and the share code is : 703478894.

Our prize for winning out is a Super Wheelspin, which seems a bit tight! But it also seems to be the only thing the prize gods want to ever give!

Part 3: Other Challenges

There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week.

There’s the Photo Challenge, and a Treasure Hunt to try. There’s also some Horizon Open Racing, with the best prize to try out.

Photo Challenge – #WORKINGHARD

We need to go to La Gran Caldera this week, and we need to take a 2020 Ford Super Duty F-450 DRW Platinum with us. I wonder if there’s room for that name on the back?

See up top for my artistic effort, and below for the location.

The reward? A new piece of clothing, some Leaf Pattern Leather Boots. Woop.

Treasure Hunt – Dodge Ball

The clue for this hunt reads “You’ll want to Dodge into a ball to earn a spike on the beach to reveal the treasure”.

The picture shows a Dodge Charger about to hit a ball, so that’s what I guess we need to do!

Basically, head to the beach near Playa Azul, find a volleyball net (not dodgeball, poor puns there) and then wait for a ball to appear. Once it does, smash into it driving a Dodge to complete this challenge.

The chest contains 100,000 credits, and the location is shown below.

Horizon Open – The Open Road

Time for some jolly head to head racing and to complete the challenge we need to do it in an American car. I can’t help with a tune as it could be any class, but it is well worth doing as the prize is awesome.

The prize? It’s only a god damn Dinosaur Outfit. Now you can be as cool as me!

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Ice Cauldron

This week, we have to use a Ford, tuned to A Class 800, and go sliding about the place. We need to score over 150,000 drift points, and while many Fords are RWD and suited to this challenge, I chose a stock Mustang GT from 2018, as it is always happy to shake its tail.

Approaching from the left is easier.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward. Are you still spinning them? I’m not.

Seasonal Championship – Cobra Car

We need a car from America tuned to S2 Class 998 for this set of races. There isn’t a massive amount to choose from, but I went with a Willys MB Jeep, and the share code is : 817673040.

It’ll do 210mph, so it is a ridiculous car, but if you are going to go, go hard, right?

Completing the championship will get us a Ford Mustang from 2000

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Devil’s Pass

Same car limit, but a bit of average speed testing to do. We need to score over 80 mph through the zone to win, so I went for a Shelby Mustang GT500 from 2013.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Founding Fordfathers

Good grief, just when you think the pun writer had gone home…

Still, we need a Ford (hard to believe, I know) and it has to be not only AWD, but also A Class 800. I went with a Shelby GT500 from 2013, and the share code is : 402868577.

For winning out, we can take away a Ford Raptor ‘17.

With Series 27 on the charge we’ve got the new series of cars to aim at. This time around they are a bit disappointing, with a Cadillac CT-4 for 80 points, and for 160 pts it is a Ford F-150 from ‘86.

If you need a few extra points to get you over the line, the monthly Rivals challenges are here; Bahia de Plano Circuit for proper cars, and Linea Costera Sprint for EVs. Stick some clean laps in and Bob should be the brother of your mother. Although the EV we have to drive is rubbish!

4 points are on offer if you return clean laps for each one, so worth having a go at!

Grab enough points and Series 27 Autumn will also see you gifted with the exclusive Chevy Nova ‘66 for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Firebird ‘68, another exclusive car. Nice to get the double!

Stick around if you need guides to the next installments in Series 27. We’ll be covering Winter and Spring as the weeks progress.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
