Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 35 – Winter

Modern Horizons is the theme for Series 35 of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in Forza Horizon 5. The challenges of Autumn were better than Summer, so can the upward trajectory continue with Series 35 Winter? Only time will tell!

So, let’s see what is in store for us in Series 35 – Winter of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in Forza Horizon 5.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Driver’s Car

The Saleen S1 is the first new car from Saleen since 2009, and so this is the subject of this week’s car challenge.Fast and American this promises to be a handful.

Should you not have one already, go and buy it from the Autoshow.

Chapter 1 – 1 in 1500

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.

Chapter 2 – A Name aLl Your Own

Because a modified car raced in the Saleen Cup, we have to win two circuit road races now. Pick a short one! Again, I used the Horizon Oval.

Chapter 3 – Rising to the Top

Get 6 stars at Speed Zones because this car can do 180 mph, or something.

Chapter 4 – Powering Through

Now we have to earn 10 wreckage skills in a minute, because when you have a rare car, of course you’re going to drive it into fences and lampposts and stuff.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 35.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, two Eventlabs, PR Stunts, races, who could ask for more?

The Trial – 2010’s Classic

Time to play as a team. I know I say it every week, but hopefully sooner or later someone will notice…

We need a McLaren from the 2010’s for this week, tuned to S1 Class 900. I went with a 570S Coupe from 2015, share code : 179226463.

Let’s hope the racing gods smile on this week, as we attempt to win an Alumicraft Class 10 Race car.

Eventlab 1 – DEXTER41300 Presents California Hills Raceway

We need a 2010’s car, and a tune of B Class 700. I went with a stock Maserati Levante S, as it is almost at the tuning ceiling.

Dexter normally makes good tracks, and this is no exception. Lots of humps and turns makes it a challenge.

A Retrowave Outfit is the prize.

Eventlab 2 – ARKRA1DERS Presents Ark Drift City Dash GP- Night

It seems the titles for these Eventlabs are getting as long as the courses themselves!

We need a Rally Monster tuned to A Class 800, and so I went with the Hoonigan Cossie V2, share code : 140648350.

A confusing mess of a track, without the guideline you’d have no chance of going in the right direction. Not a fan.

Take away a Lexus RC-F as a reward.

PR Stunt 1 – Speed Pequeno Puente

This week, all the PR stunts need the same car, an S2 Class 998 car. Any car!

With this being a trap at the junction of tarmac and dirt, it is only right to let the BMW X5M FE out to play – three weeks on the trot. The share code for mine is : 519084427. A speed of over 177 mph will suffice.

Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

PR Stunt 2 – Trail Blazer – Barranco

Get to the finish line with 35 seconds remaining. What with this one being cross country it is that Beemer again. Finding your way through the trees is the tricky part here.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Lancia me this

Groan.

Choose any Lancia (amazing, I know) and then make it a B Class 700. Not awfully modern, Lancias…

Anyway I went with a Delta S4 in stock trim, as it isn’t too far off the pace.

For winning out, we can take home a Range Rover Velar, oddly enough…

Seasonal Championship 2 – Light as a Chevy

Are Chevy’s particularly light?

We need to grab a Korean car, tune it all the way up to B Class 700, and then do some slow racing, I chose a Hyundai I30N, as it is at the limit in stock trim.

The prize for winning is a Chevrolet Corvette – not that light!

Seasonal Championship 3 – Sprinting to the Finish

We need a Hypercar, tuned to S2 Class 998 for this event, and so it is the trusty Koenigsegg Regera RS I turned to, share code : 109282883.

We can take home a Rimac Concept 12.

Part 3: Other Challenges

Series 35 Winter has more challenges. The usual Photo Challenge is in place, alongside a Treasure Hunt, some fun with the Eliminator and the joys of Horizon Arcade.

Photo Challenge – #SANDYTRAILS

Take a photo of any of the Korean cars in the game, in the Dunas Blancas area. Easy enough, I think, and I may even use my shiny new Kia!

Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece. The location you need to be in is below.

The reward? A new Breaking Shatter horn.

Treasure Hunt – Body Arts

As you may have guessed, to win this week we need to get a tattoo. Just kidding!

Treasure clue – “Orange you glad you can be creative? If you’re feeling blue, maybe some Pagani painting will do!”. So, paint a Pagani orange, I guess?

The treasure chest location is shown below, and it contains 100FP.

The Eliminator – Battle Royale

Time to play hide and seek in the whole of Mexico, at least until a few folk have been knocked out. I can’t help you with this, largely as I am rubbish, but keep hiding or fighting and you too can win big.

How big? How about a Zenvo TSR-S? Massive!

Horizon Arcade – Mini Games

You know the score I’m sure by now – simply complete all three rounds of a Horizon Arcade, either drift, speed, chaos, wreckage or air. Drift is the best, obviously.

Do this alone or with others, and a whole 3 points can be yours. So generous!

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Nexus View

We need to grab an S2 Class 998 car, any car, and do some speeding!

I went with my favourite, the Koenigsegg Agera RS, share code : 109282883.

The target is 220 mph through the trap, also known as “a lot!”. Approaching from the north gave the best results.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. How many of these things do you have?

Seasonal Championship – Red, White and Blue

We need an American car here, tuned to B Class 700, and it looks like we’re going off road. I went with a Ford Ranger T6 Rally Raid, share code : 166960440.

Completing the championship will get us a Maserati GT-S, famous chiefly for not being American!

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Dunes

Anything Goes and S2 Class 998 are the limits here, and it is the BMW X5M FE let out to play – yes, again. The share code for mine is : 519084427.

We need to jump more than 250m, and hitting the ramp at around 160 mph saw me clear it.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – T-Rexing through the dirt

We need a car from the 2020’s and a tuning limit of S1 Class 900. I chose a Ford F-150 Lightning, and the share name is S1Truck with my Gt, Red620Ti.

The reward for racing? A Mercedes Benz C63.

The rewards for Series 35 and Winter in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 35 on the way to completion, the road to the new cars for the month is well underway. And they are the KIA EV6 GT for 80 points and a Raesr TS for 160 points. The Kia should be nestling in your garage right about now, and now the chase begins for that Raesr…

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 35, but a reduced number – only 2 this month. San Juan Scramble for real engines, and Linea Costera Sprint for battery powered cars. Post a clean lap on each to score 4 whole points towards the prize cars.

Grab enough points and Series 35 Winter also sees you given access to the exclusive Toyota GR Yaris for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Mercedes-AMG E63, a hard to find car apparently.

Stay tuned at the same time next week for the rest of Series 35 to play out. I’ll give you the best tunes and cars to help with the challenges on offer in Spring. And then no doubt it will be Series 36…

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
