IVOR – Alpha Demo | Alpha Beta Gamer

IVOR is a retro boomer shooter that draws inspiration from Norse mythology as a Viking Drengr battles an army of undead monsters.

Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer back in 2021, IVOR is a fast and brutal old school FPS where a Viking Drengr seeks vengeance after being left to rat by the Al-father. The new demo features one large campaign level and a rebalanced arena mode. It also has a nice variety of enemies and a nice selection of weapons to dispatch them with, from dual-wielding axes to a handheld cannon.

It could probably do with speeding up the movement of melee-based enemies (as they don’t really present much of a threat at the moment), but aside from that it’s a very promising game. The weapons feel great, the enemies are nice and chunky, and the particle effects are very cool. If you like retro shooters, you’ll Val-hav-a very good time with IVOR.
