Chapter 8: Bedroom 3

  • We begin this chapter looking into the hidden safe in the bedroom.
  • Hang up the hat on the hook that’s above the hat.
  • Move the steel cup into the red box, next to the insulated flask.
  • Move the disc-shaped pendant to the right.
  • Finally, interact with the blue journal.
  • There’s a bunch to read here, but the entry of note is the one with the crossed-out date.
  • Here, you’ll find a radio station highlighted – AM684.
  • Now move away from the safe and return to the radio.
  • We’re once again going to do the morse code puzzle, this time by tuning into AM684.
  • Move the compass so that the West direction is facing upward. Then, adjust the knob until you get a beep.
  • Note down the morse code signals here.
  • Now go back to the drawer in the desk to the left of the bed, and examine the box  we previously opened with morse code.
  • You’ll find that it has an upper compartment that’s also locked. This is where we’ll enter the new code we got from AM684.
  • The code is: sun, camera, moon, star, star.
  • Try to pick up the object inside, but it won’t budge.
  • Return to the radio and pick up the compass.
  • Go back to the box with the item in it, and place the compass set into the item.
  • Now place the needle from your inventory onto the compass.
  • This releases the item, so pick it up.
  • Next, turn around so that the needle is pointing up. A door will appear where there was none.
  • Enter the closet, where you’ll find a telescopic lens and a tripod to set your camera on.
  • Set the rightmost component on the tripod first, then the leftmost component.
  • Third, set the remaining component, and finally, put in your camera from the inventory.
  • You’ll now enter a special camera mode. Turn to the shelves to the left of the study desk.
  • Take a picture once the stars draw an outline.
  • Put the camera away now and examine the newly-unveiled cabinet.
  • Inside, you’ll find a calendar-like device.
  • Put the compass from your inventory onto this device to complete the astrolabe.
  • You can now freely turned the month and day wheels to get the date you want.
  • For starters, let’s put in Dei’s birthday, which you can view in the journal that’s lying on the floor.
  • Set the astrolabe to May 24, and the numbers will glow.
  • Step away from the astrolabe and pull out your camera once more.
  • This time, look at the foot of the bed to see the shining stars again.
  • As before, let them draw an outline and then take a picture.
  • Put the camera away and examine the cabinet that’s appeared.
  • Look inside the cabinet to find a photo fragment.

  • Now step away and check the journal in the secret safe above the bed.
  • If you read the same entry where we got the AM684 clue, you’ll learn that the entry was made “half a year” since Dei’s mother went camping with Dei.
  • If you turn to the first entry in this journal, you’ll find that Dei’s mother came home from camping with Dei on February 12.
  • Half a year is six months after February 12, i.e. August 12.
  • Go back to the astrolabe now and set it to August 12.
  • Once again, step away and pull out the camera.
  • This time, aim for the tall bookcase to the right of the window.
  • Take a picture and examine the cabinet that’s now been revealed.
  • Pick up the photo fragment inside, and you’ll now be asked to complete the photograph.
  • Complete it as shown below.
  • Click on the photo to find another date: 5 September.
  • Return to the astrolabe and set it to the promised date: 5 September.
  • Step away and pull out your camera.
  • This time, there’s six stars, and they’re surrounding the calendar that’s above the study desk.
  • Take a picture of the six-pointed star at the end to finish this chapter.

Chapter 9: Forest

  • Click on the photograph here to begin.
  • Then, turn around to find someone and engage in conversation with them.
  • You can answer their questions as you like.
  • After the woman is gone, follow her into the forest.
  • In this forest, you can get lost if you pick random directions.
  • To find the correct path, look up to see if there is a star above it.
  • If you picked the right path, the woman will continue her dialogue.
  • After following three paths, you find yourself in a meadow, looking at the stars.
  • Click on the bright star here, and another will appear.
  • Keep clicking on the bright stars to form a constellation.
  • Once the woman’s dialogue is complete, look at her to receive a trinket.

Chapter 10: Finale

  • Pick up the journal lying on the bed and place the photo in your inventory in the empty photo slot.
  • Put the journal away now and examine the window.
  • In the next scene, look to your right and then take a picture of anything with your camera.
  • Keep taking pictures to continue the dialogue and when you reach the populated area, interact with the door at the end of the train cabin.
  • In the next scene, repeat the same procedure as before: take pictures to advance dialogue.
  • When the café door opens, click on it to move on.
  • In the next scene too, take pictures to advance the dialogue (although this time, the dialogue comes from Dei).
  • When you hear the woman’s voice, turn around and interact with her.
  • In the next scene, turn to find the war memorial.
  • Interact with the plaque in the front to complete this chapter – and the game with it.
