Another ZX Spectrum game has appeared and it’s Ariel Endaraues’ latest masterpiece, BLINDWALKER, a game which secured the prestigious Best Technological Development Award at Retro Game Dev 2026. Organized by Espacio Tec, the international tournament challenged developers to push 8-bit hardware to its limits, and Blindwalker stood out as a technical marvel on the ZX Spectrum. To coincide with this new game for the speccy, Saberman has done a video showing the game in action.
In this innovative puzzle-platformer, players step into the paws of Rocky, a devoted guide dog. Your mission is to escort your blind owner, Matt, through a perilous, trap-laden haunted mansion. Unlike typical platformers where you control the protagonist directly, Blindwalker introduces a unique strategic twist: Matt will only move when called by Rocky, adding a unique layer of strategy across 35 handcrafted levels that challenge players to think carefully and act with precision.
