You can get started with Type Soul via Roblox right now. For more on the game, check out our guide on how to Trade in Type Soul.

Complete Type Soul Grades Guide

The Grade system in Type Soul works differently for each of its different factions. For this reason, we’ve broken this guide up into sections, one for each character.

Soul Reaper Grades

You can become a Soul Reaper by speaking to a Shinigami after dying and becoming a Lost Soul. Once this is done, you’ll need to complete the following steps to increase your Grade.

  • Grade 5 – You start at Grade 5.
  • Grade 4 – Complete missions to advance Grade 4.
  • Grade 3 – Complete missions to advance to Grade 3.
  • Grade 2 – You’ll need to obtain a Shikai to rank up any further. You also need to pick your Division at this grade, and begin to complete Division Missions.
  • Semi Grade 1 – Continue to work on your Division Missions.
  • Grade 1 – Continue to work on Division Missions.
  • Elite Grade – Now is the time to get to work on PVP and Raids, and start fighting players from other factions.

Quincy Grades

Becoming a Quincy is similar to becoming a Soul Reaper, only you need to interact with the sword-wielding statue through the Wanden Gate in Karakura Town.

  • Grade 5 – You start at this Grade.
  • Grade 4 – Complete missions to advance.
  • Grade 3 – Complete missions to advance.
  • Grade 2 – You can pick up your Schrift at this grade. Missions will get harder from here on out.
  • Semi Grade 1 – Complete missions to advance.
  • Elite Grade – Keep doing missions and killing Hollows until you reach Elite Grade. Then you need to start on PVP to unlock your Vollstandig.

Hollow Grades

  • Grade 5 – You start at Grade 5 if you are a Menoscar.
  • Grade 4 – Complete missions as a Menoscar to advance to Grade 4.
  • Grade 3 – Complete missions to advance to Grade 3. If you’re an Adjucar, you should start here.
  • Semi Grade 2 – Complete missions to advance. If you’re a Vastocar, you should start at this Grade.
  • Grade 2 – At Grade 2, you can obtain your Partial Res. Missions will also start to get a bit more difficult.
  • Semi Grade 1 – Continue to complete missions.
  • Grade 1 – Continue to complete missions.
  • Elite Grade – Complete missions to reach Elite Grade, you’re now ready to start doing raids to get your Full Res.

Note: If you have True Vastocar, people will not be able to see your Grade in the sidebar, it will appear as ????. This can be useful, as it prevents PVPers looking for Elite Grips from knowing they should target you… though there’s a chance they’ll do it anyway.
