Should you buy a Sega Dreamcast in 2021? Well, for starters, yes. It’s fun. It’s a piece of gaming history – but the good part. The bad parts were the Saturn and 32X. The Dreamcast debuted the 2K sports simulation line up, had some fun racing titles, some creme de la creme fighting games, and some dope RPGs as well.

We’re going to talk about a few of the fun accessories the Dreamcast has, and how it really was THE console to bring the arcade experience home on. And that price compared to an arcade terminal is a steal.

We’re going to talk about why retrogaming on this thing is a must to not just have a fun gaming experience, but a profoundly human experience, as you can imagine you are kindred spirits with the gamers who have passed before you on the same system. As I am writing this, I am channeling the spirits of the great, mediocre, and hackey writers who have sat before their keyboards, wondering what to write. In that same way, with a Dreamcast, you could hold that controller and imagine the worlds gamers were trying to escape from in 1999. Maybe you could communicate with them through the Dreamcasts’ email system. Tell them to invest in Rockstar Games. And to collect a lot of long games to play for 2021 – it’s going to be a long year!
