From a tiny bedroom in a rural 80s village to the glow of CRT screens and the magic of early consoles, this is the story of how gaming became a part of my life.
Before gaming was mainstream, before my parents even knew what a “gamer” was, a borrowed Philips G7000 opened the door to a world I never knew existed. From there came the NES, the Game Boy, sleepovers, side‑by‑side multiplayer, and the friendships and memories that shaped who I became.
This video is a journey through the consoles, the people, and the moments that defined my childhood, from playing Space Invaders with my dad, to being blown away by Super Mario Bros., to discovering the Game Boy in a London wardrobe the night before my 10th birthday. These memories aren’t just nostalgia… they’re part of my story.
Retro gaming isn’t just about old hardware. It’s about the people we played with, the places we grew up, and the moments that stay with us decades later…
