Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special includes a nod to Nintendo

For those with Disney+, the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is now available to stream. The special brings together the Guardians of the Galaxy for a bit of holiday cheer, and as it turns out, there’s some love for Nintendo as well.

At one point during the special, some holiday gifts are exchanged between the Guardians. The real fun comes from when Starlord watches Groot open his gift, which turns out to be a Game Boy. Fans of Guardians of the Galaxy know that Starlord is all about classic 80s tech and entertainment, so the Game Boy definitely fits in his wheelhouse.
